1) Summary

We do not collect, store, or sell any personal data from users of LingoDrills. The app has no developer-controlled backend. When you use AI features, the text you type is sent to Google’s services via Firebase AI Logic only to generate a response. We do not receive or retain this content on our own servers.

2) What data is processed and why

• User prompts and AI outputs. When you use the chat/AI feature, your prompt and the model’s response are transmitted to Google’s Gemini services through Firebase AI Logic to provide the requested functionality (language learning assistance).
• No analytics, ads, or tracking. The app does not integrate advertising SDKs, analytics, Crashlytics, or other tracking tools. We do not access Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA) and do not track users across apps or websites.

3) Who processes your data

• Processor: Google (Firebase AI Logic with Gemini API / Vertex AI). Your prompts are processed by Google only to generate responses. We do not maintain our own copies. Google may temporarily cache requests to operate the service and usage telemetry may be stored in Google Cloud’s observability tools. See “Retention” below.

4) Legal basis (EEA/UK users)

Where applicable under GDPR/UK GDPR, we rely on:

• Performance of a contract (to provide the AI chat feature you request), and/or
• Legitimate interests (to operate and secure the app).

Because we do not keep copies of your prompts or other personal data, we generally cannot identify you in our systems.

5) Retention

• Developer retention: We do not store your prompts or AI outputs.
• Google’s operational retention: Google may temporarily cache input/output to improve responsiveness (for example, up to ~24 hours) and may store AI monitoring telemetry. We do not use this app with any long-term data retention configuration.

6) International data transfers

Processing may occur on Google’s infrastructure in multiple regions. Google applies its own data-protection terms and security measures. We do not control the exact location of processing.
